Silas Lowe is an Austin, Texas–based Americana and roots singer-songwriter whose work bridges traditional American forms with a contemporary lyrical voice. Grounded in folk, bluegrass, blues, and honky-tonk, his songs reflect a deep engagement with heritage, craft, and lived experience. Active in the Austin music community since the mid-2000s, Lowe has developed a distinctive voice informed by Appalachian and Texas roots music, earning recognition for his evocative storytelling and authentic performances.

Lowe's 2016 album Wandering Father, Forgotten Son paired his own songs with those of his late father, honoring a shared musical legacy. He followed in 2025 with Mirror Behind the Bar, a record that deepens his songwriting while remaining firmly rooted in classic American forms. Exploring reflection, hard-earned wisdom, and the quiet truths of everyday places, the album balances grit and grace through finely honed narratives and traditional instrumentation.

A sought-after collaborator, Lowe has co-written songs with notable Americana artists including Brennen Leigh and Cristina Vane. His song with Leigh was featured on the Grand Ole Opry, and his co-written track "Do You Want To Lose" appears on Vane's album Hear My Call. His songs have been widely covered by fellow musicians, underscoring his influence within the roots music community.

As a solo artist and collaborator, Silas Lowe has performed his songs at venues and festivals including the Kennedy Center, Old Settler's, the Winnipeg Folk Festival, Vancouver Folk Festival, Vancouver Island Folk Festival, and the John Hartford Memorial Festival.

For this show, Silas will be joined by old friends and local musicians Emily Triplett Lentz (bass) and Andy Lentz (fiddle), who you may know from their bands The New Neighbors and Cantara Loop. These three have a long history of making music together, mostly at honky-tonks in and around Austin.

NOTE: Seating is limited. Get your tickets early!
Sliding scale tickets for this performance are $14 - 30 per person.  Tickets *start at $14, *but, please consider adding a few bucks as you're able,  which helps us to feed and pay the artists more, and to bring a variety of cultural events to the Pub.

Seating/service starts at 5:30pm, music at 6:30pm. We quietly offer table service of food & drinks before & during the event, in our lovely listening space.

IMPORTANT: We LOVE reservations, to help us plan for each show. Easily make your reservations - just seats, or seats & table for dining - while buying your tickets. For busy shows, reserved guests get priority seating & table service. Your table will have your name on it. Thanks for supporting live artists!

PARKING: Pub has free parking. More parking is nearby at the corner of Mill & McCourtney, a 2-minute walk. Across from Pub, French Ave has parking. Carpooling is encouraged - our neighbors appreciate it.
